Try a short message

Step 1 of 6

Opening your saved place…

Choose a sample

Pick a short message to try.

Use the made-up neighbor message below, or choose a note of your own.

A fictional message is enough to practice. You do not need to share a personal story.

Choose a request you can check for yourself.

A neighbor noteA request to move a bin.

A club noteA reminder to bring a notebook.

A group questionA question about a meeting time.

Use a short note or list for practice. For important health, money or legal decisions, ask a qualified person. For account trouble, use the service’s own support.

The sample gives you a place to start.

One safe step first

Take out anything private before you paste.

Before pasting text into another site, read it for private details.

Use labels such as [neighbor] instead of names. Also remove identifying details from the rest of the message.

Leave out addresses, phone numbers, account numbers and passwords.

Changing a name alone does not make a message private. If you are unsure, use the fictional sample.

Read the whole message before sharing it.

See it work

Watch a cleaned message turn clearer.

Starting example

Hi [neighbor], could you relocate the bin from the walkway?

Example message

Use plain words in this message. Keep the request and meaning: “Hi [neighbor], could you relocate the bin from the walkway?” Add no new facts.

An example AI reply

Hi [neighbor], could you move the bin from the walkway?

The sample changes “relocate” to “move.” It keeps the request, item and place. It does not add a deadline or change how urgent the request is.

Your turn, no wrong answers

Draft an ask for a short message.

Use the neighbor sentence above or a short note with no private details. Draft an ask for plain words and the same meaning. This box saves your writing; it does not send it to another site.

Your practice box, just for you. Your draft saves in this browser. This box is not AI. Leave private details out.

You can use the sample without sharing a real message.

Start with a few words, or look at the example first.
