From request to real answers

Keep three stages separate.

First, draft the request with the purpose and needed facts. Check it for private details. A label can replace a name, but review the rest too.

If you try ChatGPT, send only the reviewed request. Check the reply for the right questions and any unsupported claim.

Before calling, use a number from a known source. During the call, note the answers. Read back dates or amounts you need to get right.

If nobody answers, or a question remains unclear, leave it open. A plan does not complete the call or confirm an arrangement.

Prepare your call

Keep the request and a stage note.

Use your own ordinary call or this made-up task: Ask a library branch whether it opens this Saturday and at what times. Draft a request for a short script. You may try it in ChatGPT and check the reply. If you later call using a verified number, note the actual answers. Otherwise, record the stage reached and what is still open.
