Gather enough to ask the right question.

You can ask ChatGPT which details may help with your call. Treat its list as a starting point, then check what your task really needs.

Keep private reference numbers in your own notes. You may need one when speaking to a verified office, but it does not need to go into a script-writing chat.

Removing a name does not remove every private fact. Review the whole request before sharing it.

A preferred time stays a question.

Made-up notes: You want to ask a community center about beginner drawing classes. Friday afternoon suits you. You do not know if such a class runs or has room for you.

Keep an opening-hours question open.

Made-up task: You want to call a library branch about its Saturday hours. You know which branch, but have not checked its phone number or Saturday hours. Write what you need to verify before calling and what to ask on the call.
