Your job here is small and kind. You help them see their wins. Then you gently step back.

Three little things make a good finish:

Keep your words warm. Build up their confidence, not their need for you.

One rule stays, even now. For money, health, legal, account, or safety choices, they ask a real person they trust.

People grow when they hear their own wins. Saying it out loud makes it feel real.

So you ask, then you wait. Do not fill the quiet. Let them find the words.

Here is the simple flow:

Ask"What can you do now that you could not do before?"

Write it downin their words, just the one win

If they cannot name one, do not push. Name one small thing you saw them do well.

Then let them agree or change it. The win is theirs, not yours.

I helped someone learn a new skill. They told me they can now do this on their own: write a note to their landlord by themselves. Help me write one warm, plain line that names this win back to them.

What the AI sends back

You wrote that note to your landlord all on your own, with no help from anyone. That used to feel out of reach. Now it is just a thing you can do. I am proud of you.

Same kind idea, but this names the exact win. It says it warmly, in plain words they can feel.

The safe habit

Pick one habit. Just one.

One habit is easy to keep. Many habits get dropped fast.

So pick the single habit that keeps them safest when you are not there.

A good one for new helpers to pass on:

The habit"Take out private details before you paste."

Private details means things like names, your home address, account numbers, or health notes. Those should never go into the chat box.

If you taught many habits, cut down to one. Keep the one that stops the worst harm. One habit they keep beats five they forget.
