Ask what belongs

Use facts the person chooses and can check.

Ask what the reply needs to do. A note may need the event or problem, the desired tone and the action they want to request.

Keep confirmed facts separate from guesses. A vague request does not require AI to invent details; you can ask it to name a gap or ask a question.

Do not assume a prior session happened. You can work from the sample here, or discuss a task the person chooses.

Facts and deliberate privacy

Review the whole prompt together.

Use only the facts needed for this task. A useful count, public price or time may belong. A password, account number or private record does not belong in a practice prompt.

General words such as my street do not guarantee privacy. Other details may still identify a person or place. Do not tell AI to fill in a real address that you left out.

Ask the person to review what will be shared with the tool. Share someone else’s details only when there is a sound reason and the needed permission.

Check the final note too if a real name or contact is added later. Keeping it out of the AI request is a separate choice from sending it to a reader.

AI can help phrase a question, but it does not establish repair rules or duties. Use the right official source or qualified help for those questions.

No invented worsening

Keep a repair note within the facts.

Made-up source: a leak under the kitchen sink started two days ago. The sender wants a polite two-sentence note asking the landlord to check it. Its cause and whether it is getting worse are unknown. No repair deadline is confirmed.

The two sentences preserve the location, start and chosen request. They add no claim about the leak getting worse, its cause or a duty to repair it by a certain time.

Do not add a plan for them

Should a thank-you note promise another visit?

They want to thank a club for a welcome. They have not decided whether to attend again. The draft says they will be at the next meeting. Choose an answer to see why, then continue. This is practice, not a grade.

Leave the gap visible

Prepare a gate note from these facts.

Sample: the shared gate bangs at night when it is windy. The start date and cause are unknown. The person wants a polite request for it to be checked. Write a request and one check.
