Start with something you can check

A photo can give your question a starting point.

You can ask ChatGPT about a still photo. Start with a simple label on a box you own. Leave out faces, names, addresses, codes and private papers.

If you choose to take a photo, open your device’s Camera app. Use good light, hold still, keep the whole label in view and take one photo. Look at it before sharing.

No camera, or not ready to use one? The example has a practice image you can open or save. Uploading that image lets you practise sharing a photo, but it is not taking your own photo.

Choose, review, then send

Attach the right photo before you ask.

In ChatGPT, look for the plus control by the message box and choose Add photos & files. Choose your saved photo. Controls may vary by device. This is a still-image task, not a live camera or Voice session.

Check the attached preview. Is it the right photo? Can you read the label? Remove a wrong photo before sending. Choosing a photo and sending a message are separate steps.

Type your question, review what you are sharing, then send when ready. If asked for access, allow only what you choose to use. You can cancel and return to the lesson.

Free accounts can use image uploads, but limits apply. If the tool is missing or a limit notice appears, follow the notice or use this written example for now. You do not need to buy a plan for the lesson.
