Now let's run one whole voice task.

You have tapped the mic before. The mic is the little microphone button. Today we do a full task, start to finish.

Pick one small thing you would really do out loud. Keep it low-stakes. Low-stakes means nothing bad happens if it is a little off.

A good one is a quick how-to or a cooking step. For example: how long to boil eggs.

One rule keeps you safe. Leave out anything private. Skip your name, your address, and any account numbers.

Do not pick money, health, or legal tasks. Do not pick big choices. For those, ask a real person you trust.

Say the facts

Say your task in your normal voice. Then add two or three facts.

Facts are small true details about your task. Facts help ChatGPT give you a better answer. Say them slow and clear.

What the AI sends back

1. Put the six eggs in a pot. 2. Cover them with cold water. 3. Bring the water to a boil. 4. Turn off the heat and wait 10 minutes. 5. Cool the eggs in cold water.

Same idea, but better. This one says the facts and asks for short steps. Short steps are easy to follow by voice.

Check one word

Read it back and fix the wrong word.

ChatGPT types out what it hears. A noisy room can make it hear wrong.

Read the text on the screen. Check it word by word.

Find the one word that came out wrong. Then fix just that one word.

Say it back by voice, slow and close to the phone. Or change the word by hand.

If the text is far off, turn the room quiet and get closer to the phone.
