Before we start

Start with a page you can share.

A photo shows a page as an image. A PDF is a file that can hold text, images or both. AI may help read either, but it can miss details.

We use a made-up craft flyer. It has no private details and no real event to book. You can view it here before trying a file in ChatGPT.

This first lesson is a plan. You can try the whole task later in this track, or keep using the written examples.

Give the helper a source and a task.

On the next screen, use Save practice image or Save practice PDF below the flyer. The PDF has text you can select. Saving a file does not send it to AI.

In ChatGPT, use the plus near the message box, then Add photos & files. Choose the saved file. Check the attachment preview or file name, then read your request before sending.

Controls and file limits can vary. Sign-in may be needed. If the option is missing or a limit appears, keep using this lesson. You do not need to buy a plan for our written practice.

A scanned PDF may be only a picture of text. Do not assume AI sees all images in every PDF. If it cannot read the page, use a clear page image or type the small, non-private part you need.
