Step 1 of 5
Picking up where you left off

Last time you took a clear photo. Now let's make it safe.

A letter or a bill holds private facts. Your full name. Your home address. Your full account number.

ChatGPT does not need any of those to help you. Sharing less keeps you safer.

So before you send a photo, you hide the private parts. You cover them, or you crop them out. Crop means to trim off the edges or lines you do not want to show.

Cover itlay a strip of paper or a sticky note over the private line, then take the photo
Crop itopen the photo on your phone, tap Edit, then drag the corners to trim off the private parts

Never share a password or a full account number. ChatGPT never needs these.

And remember: this helps you understand a paper, not decide what to do. For money, health, legal, or account choices, ask a real person you trust.

Simple rule: when in doubt, leave it out. Covering one extra line never hurts.
