Doing a task by ear means you listen and speak instead of reading and typing. ChatGPT can read text out loud to you. Then you can press the mic button and talk your answer.

Pick one small task where reading feels tiring, or your hands are full. A short note works. A bus time works. One email works too.

Keep it safe. Do not decide by ear on money, health, legal matters, accounts, or safety. For those, ask a real person you trust.

One more rule. If you are driving, stop the car first. Wait until you are safely parked before you listen or talk.

Before ChatGPT reads your text, take out anything private. That means full names, phone numbers, account numbers, and your home address. Private means facts that point to a real person or a real account.

Here is an easy rule: when in doubt, leave it out.
