Try reading a short text aloud

Use the controls to start sound.

Try Read this step to me when you are ready. Pause stops at the current sentence. Continue repeats that sentence, then moves on. Stop ends the reading; a new start begins the step again.

Moving to another step stops this reading. The control reads the step, not just the example reply. Keep the volume comfortable and think about who can hear it.

In ChatGPT, first get a written reply. Look for Read aloud among its response actions. On Android, these are below the response or in its three-dot menu. The available actions can vary.

Read aloud plays a reply. Dictation turns your speech into editable text, and Voice is a conversation. You do not need to open a microphone session just to try this page’s reading control.

If ChatGPT has no reading action for your message, keep the written path or use an available device reading tool. Do not keep pressing an unrelated icon.
